I've just started seeing these little guys in freshwater here on Lake Martin in Alabama. In the summer, we come to our place here to get away from high heat and hurricanes in Playa del Carmen. The weather is so nice and the water is perfect temperature. These jellies are found near the surface in the morning and later in the afternoon. They are about the size of a quarter, tiny and to my knowledge, harmless.
We put together the music in Garageband and edited down a little over 1 minute worth of footage outlining the adventure of the jellyfish hunt. No jellies were harmed in the making of this movie :)
Matt and I have been spending a few weeks at our second home, Lake Martin Alabama. Last week Vincent came for a few days to visit., we had a good time.., but let me tell you... entretain a French young guy, its not easy.., he has lots of energy!.. good for shooting weddings I guess...
Now, my turn to get in the water.., last year I tried to sky and didn't make it.. I just hit my face and drank half the lake.. I was affraid., but this time I had a personal couch with me in the water.. my guero!
Aquaman is ready... Shooting underwater is a huge challenge, not only because we shoot in manual mode, holding our breath, and the camara is inside of a housing., but also "coaching" the couple on what to do to get a good shoot is not easy. It takes even more time to get only a few good shoots, than the time I spent shooting outside the water. I got the easy part this time.
