2011 ISPWP Winter Contest Results - Del Sol Photography

WOW, so excited to see Sol Tamargo make the overall top 3rd placement for the 2011 Winter Photo Contest for the International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers (ISPWP). There are so so so many competing photographers that we admire in this contest!!!

It is such an honor to say that our entire team of 7 photographer placed images, 23 total images with a total of 11 that were top 10 finishers… amazing work from an amazing team that we are so so proud of! I love to see the movement and the water incorporated into so many of these. I love Sol's underwater trash the dress images and my ALL TIME FAVORITE candid moment is the groom jumping off the dock, WOW are you kidding me?

Sol was balancing on one of those poles, hands totally extended above her head while mastering this composition without looking through the lens and somehow made this perfect timing. This is the absolute definition of the decisive moment.









































Awesome achievement team del Sol.... and special congrats to Sol for her overall placement of 3rd place, very very hard to do.

2011 WPJA Wedding Photojournalism Fall Contest Results

Results out for the 2011 WPJA Fall Contest. As always, we are humbled to be a part of such amazingly talented artists in the industry and pull inspiration from you all!


WPJA hosts a quarterly contests that help each photographer accumulate points. The photographer with the most points at the end of the year is honored with the esteemed "Photographer of the Year." While it seems pretty straight forward, there is one trick, if you place an image in any of their portrait or detail categories, you loose points towards the photographer of the year...
