We are so grateful to be in a location where amazing nature elements surround us so we can offer our couples a very unique experience were creative photography and personal enjoyment are combined in one day.

Every couple is different and we really put our hearts, souls and the best gear in the planet (literally we pack lots and lots of high end camera equipment) to give them amazing photography.

Karen and Charles were a relaxed and fun couple, the underwater part was a challenge (as it is for everybody!!) but they totally trusted us and after a few couple of hours trying (just kidding.. jeje..) we got some really cool shots

Here are some of my favorites:

Matt's photo. The underwater world opens the door for some crazy looking frames, like this one!

Sol's photo. This is a very unique image, if you look closely, there are tiny little bubbles coming up from the plants, forming a line, That is photosynthesis in action!!.. I felt very excited to see that happening!

Matt's photo. LOVE this photo, great job Mr Aquaman!

Matt's photo. This is super funny, this snorkeling kid in the middle of the action, I'm sure he's looking down and thinking "what is going on here???"

A full day of adventure! Thanks SO much to Karen and Charles for allowing us to work, another day in paradise.

We just received a wonderful email from Karen (they haven't seen the TTD!!!)

Hola Sol y Matt!

This is long overdue but we wanted to send you a HUGE thank you for capturing those precious moments from our wedding day as well as opening our hearts and minds to the beauty that the Mayan Riviera has to offer when you go off the beaten path. Our TTD session was an experience we will never forget!

When we decided to do a destination wedding we made a conscious decision to spend what we needed to in order to ensure that we would have beautiful and amazing photos as reminders of our special day. We spent countless hours on the internet searching for just the right photographer and when we came across del Sol photography - we knew you guys were the ones. We were blown away by the passion both you exuded... it's a rare find to meet people like you who clearly love to do what they do! Your enthusiasm and love of photography made our time with you that much more enjoyable.

We also wanted to commend you on the customer service we received from the moment we established contact. Your response time and willingness to answer ALL of our questions (and there were many!) helped us feel comfortable even though we would not be able to meet face-to-face until the day of the wedding. Kudos to you and your entire team for making our experience a truly comfortable one.

The slideshow of our wedding day is AWESOME and INCREDIBLE... we couldn't have asked for better. As we watch each picture appear on the computer screen - we are transported back to that exact moment in time. And that feeling was what we were hoping for when we chose you guys... and boy did you deliver! We're waiting with bated breath for the TTD pictures :)

Our experiences with you are an integral part of the memories we have of our week in Mexico... we will not hesitate to sing your praises at every opportunity.

Matt y Sol... Muchos Gracias for the wonderful and everlasting memories!

Karen & Charles

Here is a great example of amazing clients that allow us to live our dream! Bahar and Brad were not only gorgeous pleople but so much in love that it really inspired us to create art.

I have to say that I'm jealous as most of these images are Matt's, his underwater imagery is getting better each session! He is the official "aquaman"(that link has a few more images from this session and shows how deep I was swimming to get those shots).

Sol's photo. I love flare! and for this image I was lucky enough to get magical flare combined with a great moment

What a perfect and sexy ending!!!

Can you blame us for loooving what we do???

UPDATE. Message from Bahar this morning:

WOW, I am absolutely speechless, I am sooooo glad I made the decision to do this!!!!!!!!

The work is amazing, I really appreciate everyone's hard work. Matt, you have no idea the comments we are getting from family members and friends we have emailed these images to....especially ones that were weary of me "trashing" my dress!!!

We will be sure to post the links on our Facebook and email to those who don't have it...Brad has already started! I remember the morning we woke up after the wedding to do the shoot, Brad said, "Do we reaaallly have to do this..? (insert loud hungover groan)" Now, HE is the proud one who has beat me to the punch and sent yours and Sol's beautiful work to almost all of our contacts already. We are sooo pleased with everyone's work, thank you thank you thank you!

We have been working with some new equipment recently, trying to literally change our perspective on the entire Trash the dress phenomenon that is sweeping across this planet.

I have a love for the water and have been diving the cenotes in the Riviera Maya over the last few years and finding spots that will enable certain types of photography that pretty much can not be duplicated by any one quick visitor. Anyway, I've recently been shooting a little... here are some results.

Sol snapped this of me when I was down in the cave shooting. Below are my photo results.

This shot was from about 15 feet below the surface. There was a complete overhang above. PS... thanks Bahar & Brad for being such awesome sports!

Here is another location, from a very nice depth, more than 20 feet down and a good 15 feet under an overhang. The shot below is what my view was when I looked to one side... just WOW. PS. Thanks Karen for rocking it out with us!

hope to have more fun shots soon!

Mateo
