We never have that much time before the ceremony, after the bride get her dress, to make a portrait of her. The challenge is every time make nice portraits in a short time. Kristin can relax so easy and gave me the expressions I need in a few seconds.

The traditional glass of champagne during the briefing with the bridesmaid. It was an emotional moment, your friend is getting married and it is the moment to tell her word from your heart.. And the Champagne inspire in general! :-)

06.19.10 Kristen + Patricio | Wedding at The Ritz Carlton Cancun | Photos by Matt Adcock
08.26.2010 in Main, Weddings | by Sol Tamargo

Kristen + Patricio choose Matt to document their wedding day. Matt blows me away with his creativity and capacity to shoot amazing wedding stories. Kristen and Patricio was a difficult wedding to photograph as Matt had to deal with a few non educated press photographers in his way, competing to get the photos, he did an outstanding job, running around, covering the story with such passion and creative lightening techniques.

Here a few of my favorites:

Trish Suhr +Dave McCoul | Wedding | Photos by Sol Tamargo and Vincent
08.05.2010 in Weddings, Main | by Sol Tamargo

Marry Me in Mexico, Trish’s Dream Wedding special from the style network... How Exciting! Style Network TV host, Trish Suhr the yard sale diva, planned an exotic wedding in Mexico this spring.

She hired us to photograph this magic day. It was a unique experience , I have to admitt very challenging as we have to work around tv cameras and fight to get the shoot, at the end of the day it was very exhilarating and we went back home with huge smiles of satisfaction and great images for Trish and Dave :)

Tal + Terence | Maroma Spa Resort | Photos by Matt Adcock
07.14.2010 in Weddings, Main | by Matt Adcock

Words words words...Well, there aren't enough to describe how killer this wedding was. Tal + Terence planned a memorable event at Maroma Spa and Resort. Their ceremony was an awesome Cosmic ceremony which is very non traditional and worth a peek, if you havent ever seen one. After checking out these few ceremony moments, you may not want to see another formal legal ceremony again... I feel very lucky to photograph such amazing people in beautiful / exotic locations... THANK YOU Amigos!

I just wanted to extend special thanks to my crew who really helped me make this wedding happen! Rodrigo Vargas and Melissa Mercado... WOW, without you this wouldnt have been the same amigos! Cheers to U! Makeup providd by Fernando Fuentes from the Makeup Pros.

Photo by Matt Adcock:Skull + Crossbones + Veil? Can't say I'll be repeating anything like this in my career...

Photo by Matt Adcock:There was no time for a "photo shoot" before Tal walked the isle...nope, only the time walking out of the room down the stairs to the ceremony site, probably about 3 minutes. I snagged a few... WOW.

Photo by Matt Adcock: This frame along with the next one really show the power of having multiple photographers cover 1 moment...This sequence is pretty powerful to me!

Photo by Melissa: Its so crucial to see what each bride and groom are seeing when that moment occurs....Thanks Mel!

Photo by Rodrigo: From the moment the wedding started, the energy generated by their circle of friends and this powerful union between both Tal + T, completely took us photogs by storm.... we were in photo moment heaven... This one, can we just remove ourselves from reality and step into a dream like state... uhh, where are we? Never-never land?

Photo by Rodrigo:Love this one... Again, we visit never-never land here... smoke and mirrors? crazy.

Photo by Matt Adcock: Just a little moment, water drops work for me!
Photo by Matt Adcock: The cosmic ceremony: The ceremony is based in the Maya's connection with the universe. Lots of other details, but this is the short side of it. Nothing short of amazing for photographers :) The ceremony brings the couple to the four cardinal points (north, south, east and west) to unite them to the feminine Mother Earth and the masculine Cosmic Energy, symbolized by a central sacred candle.

Photo by Rodrigo: T&T had a handful of successful celebrities attending your wedding. Big challenge...celebrities DO NOT like being chased by the paparazzi. The challenge became to be unobtrusive, make a photo of them that would not cause alarm or even let them know what was happening. I hope Anna Kendrick sees this photo.

Photo by Matt Acock: We have about a TON of moments of T&T kissing...but this one stands out to me. Something about the energy in this photo... movement is captured with the flying droplets...fower petals on their heads, the expressions of the Matron and Best Amigo....and most of all, Terence's hand embracing Tal and the look on her face There is power in this moment. A photo of two people kissing is something that we see ALOT...but how about the moment just before...energy filled, the anticipation of what is about to come speaks a thousand words here... I love this! I really connect with this moment.

Photo By Matt Adcock: I love this one, just as much as I can possibly love a photograph. Not only is it Terence's mom, everybody is expressing RAW emotion. I'd say one of my tip top favorites (Id enter this in a photojournalism contest)!

Photo by Matt Adcock: Who exits their ceremony to a band of mariachis playing the Rocky theme song??? Tal and Terence do!!! Its difficult to communicate this and I made a choice as a photographer... I literally sprinted to run behind the band originally thinking they would keep walking, but they stopped and turned around, with this expressive moment. This lasted only a few seconds for me and in the middle of my full stride and placement, this is what we ended up with. I think I got lucky with them out in front, arms extended. This photo is delicately layered with... mariachis, T+T, wedding party, ocean...i'm pretty happy with this snap.

Photo by Matt Adcock: Big big big sky, love me some big sky

Photo by Matt Adcock: I love the uninvited guest in this one... the little kitty just wondered up, had a seat and helped me with a scene setter.

Photo by Matt Adcock: The Maroma crew getting ready to make one seriously amazing dinner happen for T&T.

Photo by Matt Adcock: I really love this one, technically this was difficult to light. Often as a photojournalist, we are challenged to make a portrait appear from a candid, real live moment. This is an example of me making something with my backlighting (thats melissa holding the flash in the background) to make this moment.... I loved their speeches...

Photo by Matt Adcock: I was almost IN this fire show, on fire :) Nah, but with a 14MM L series lens, I was able to really see the action up close...Off camera flash in the background to help me freeze time for a milla-second.
