“My favorite memory from my destination wedding in Mexico was my first look with Brady.  I was so stressed leading up to that point so I felt like I hadn’t had a chance to really absorb everything.  As soon as I saw Brady I felt like everything just fell right into place.  It was an overwhelming feeling in the best possible way!” – Michelle

One of the most important moments of the wedding day is the bride and groom seeing each other for the first time. The “first look” happens most often as the bride walks down the aisle but Michelle and Brady chose to see each other before their ceremony.

“When it was my turn for the first look at my bride, it was a huge feeling of relief, comfort and excitement. At that point all my nerves eased and I was ready right then and there to walk to the ceremony location.” – Brady

The father of the bride seeing his daughter in her wedding dress for the first time is also a key moment o the wedding day, Michelle chose to make a formal “first look” with her day Scott too!

“I loved seeing his face when he saw me all dressed up!  At that time, as well as the first dance between my dad and I, we had to discuss the disappointing Vikings loss (which was on the wedding day) to stop each other from crying!” – Michelle

We love to watch out for wedding day gifts. Something that was really special to Michelle was that her mom brought her a necklace with the initial “M”, which was given to her on her baptism day.  Though it obviously no longer fit around her neck, she wore it as a bracelet and told us it was a really special moment between her and her mom. Michelle herself gave a very thoughtful gift to Brady, also a bracelet.

“In February 2014, Brady suddenly lost his father to a heart attack. They are very close and it was important for him to be included in our special day. The bracelet is engraved with the geographical coordinates of his father’s grave – a very special place to Brady.” – Michelle

Michelle and Brady both told us how loved and happy they were, needless to say wedding days have been known to be a little stressful – especially when impending rain threatens to move your beach ceremony inside. The Now Jade team proposed moving the wedding activities so they could guarantee everything would go off without a hitch. Michelle and Brady held firm to keeping their events outside with the understanding that the rainy weather would subside enough in time for the ceremony and reception.

“Just because the forecast says it’s a 60+% chance of rain, doesn’t mean it will rain! Tropical weather changes rapidly. Sure enough, the rain stopped and we couldn’t have imagined having a better wedding experience – one we wouldn’t have had if everything was moved inside!” – Michelle

Bravo Michelle and Brady for not being afraid of the rain – even if the skies do open we think rain on your wedding day is awesome!
