Del Sol Photography first met Reyna and McKenzie at their lovely Riviera Maya wedding at Al Cielo, one of our favourite destination wedding venues. They are simply a GORGEOUS couple and we couldn’t wait to take them to the jungle for a cenote trash the dress shoot. On the drive down, Reyna casually mentioned having done some modeling work as an underwater mermaid, shazam, we knew right then that this was going to be an amazing session, we don’t often get mermaid brides with experience!

The cenote adventure was a lot of fun, Reyna and McKenzie are naturals and the passion between them is clear! The day started with some time in the jungle, progressed to a cave where the locals have an altar set up to honour the Maya rituals and then into the cold cenote waters. Things really started to heat up when Reyna swam out of her dress and turned this into an “Adam and Eve” shoot! She had come prepared with some HOT lingerie in bright colours, totally pops underwater for some boudoir photos! After a long day in the jungle and cenote, the team made their way back to Al Cielo for some beach shots and some romantic photos on the roof by the pool. Totally sexy, you can feel the chemistry between the newlyweds.

Del Sol Photography sends a super big thanks to Reyna and McKenzie for sharing their wedding with us and an incredible day in nature. We wish you both all the best for a lifetime together and we hope you’ll always treasure these photos.
