Riviera Maya Underwater Cenote Trash the Dress – Jaimie and Nick

, , , , ,

Trash the dress shoots in the Riviera Maya are not just work for Del Sol Photography, they are FUN and a chance for us to share our love and knowledge of the jungle and cenotes of the Yucatan Peninsula. Newlyweds Jaimie and Nick told us in advance that they both have a great sense of humor and that Nick has a big fear of snakes (though he did hold one on a previous visit to Mexico). This was a great set-up for our team to play and share tales of jungle creatures! Bride Jaimie brought two gowns with her for the shoot, her “real” wedding gown by Maggie Sottero for the shots in the jungle and another, more “Bohemian” dress for the underwater photos. She looked gorgeous with her beautiful green eyes and spectacular smile and Nick was dashingly handsome and obviously in love with his pretty bride. The tales of jungle and cenote creatures led to a real life critter encounter, photographer Debora shares the story:

We really had a lot of fun, the four of us were constantly joking and making antics. Jaimie and Nick were cool enough to get pranked with scary wild animal and insects stories until the bride screamed excitedly: there is a giant crab in the water! A few meters away from us, Arube and I couldn’t believe it! NO WAY! Our first crab in that cenote, and it was a godzilla monster crab!!! That little dude was ready to fight, we were in his territory. :D

Be sure to see the whole slideshow (you must see godzilla monster crab), Debora captured the beauty of the couple and the nature all around. Del Sol Photography would like to thank Jaimie and Nick for being so cool and joining us on this adventure, we wish you all the best!
