Cenote Trash the Dress Riviera Maya – Elsa and Arthur

“Your pictures, especially your trash the dress photos, move us. Pictures are like art, they invoke feelings, even though the people in the pictures are not us. Your pictures capture a story, and also a special moment in time. We’ve looked through many photographer’s portfolios, but your portfolio moves us the most.  The effortless look in underwater shots, creative lighting, poses, and intimacy is unparalleled.”

Elsa and Arthur’s cenote trash the dress in the Rivera Maya was a contrast of formal elegance and the natural beauty of the jungle. Elsa wore a chic strapless gown and some serious bling, her necklace and earrings were pure sparkle! With her hair and makeup by the talented Sara Tamargo and the flowing veil, she was the picture of elegance next to her handsome husband Arthur.

The couple joined Sol for a jungle and underwater adventure in a sacred cenote. The sunlight was streaming through the jungle canopy, a perfect day for a trash the dress photoshoot. Both Elsa and Arthur are certified divers so we were excited to get them underwater to discover their inner mermaids. Elsa had a wardrobe change midway through the session, donning a striking red gown that in many Eastern cultures symbolizes luck and good fortune in marriage. The color just POPPED underwater and the lacy fabric flowed, combined with the love and passion of the couple, this was a HOT shoot!

These are beautiful creative sharp images. The red dress works extremely well underwater.
