“You don’t have to have a ceremony to have a marriage and when you think about it the whole thing is kind of odd. You’re standing under an arch, holding flowers and being stared at by pretty much everyone who has meant anything to you while you say some words and listen to some music and exchange jewelry!” – Kristin, friend and officiant

What are wedding days all about anyway? Well, it pretty much boils down to family and friends. Of course there are two people getting married in the middle of it all, but when they are best friends and are joining their families well… well we’re back to family and friends again!

“I will cherish our friendship and love you today, tomorrow, and forever… From this day forward, you shall not walk alone. May my heart be your shelter, may my arms be your home” – Helen and Zoltan’s wedding vows

What better way to include your friends in your marriage than to have them officiate your wedding? Helen and Zoltan chose one of Helen’s closest friends, Kristin, as their officiant and had their bridesmaids and groomsmen speak during their ceremony.

“Kristen radiates love, kindness, and positive energy. We wanted her to be the one to marry us on our wedding day!” – Helen

For a celebration with family and friends at its heart, finding the location is key.

“We loved the intimacy of Live Aqua. It was the perfect size for the number of guests. Wherever we went we were certain to run into family and friends! Plus the never ending Tecate and 24 hour hot tub didn’t hurt.”

Since every couple’s wedding experience is so unique, we love to ask what the most amazing moment is for the bride and groom on their wedding day and we adore Helen’s answer:

“That silly moment when we messed up our first dance, and we just stopped and starting laughing at each other. I knew I married the right person.” – Helen
