“Chase and I had always said if we got married it would be in a tropical paradise. We wanted to celebrate with our family and friends over a week, and not just a few hours. We decided on Paradisus Cancun because we fell in love with the beautiful pictures that our wedding planner had sent us. I loved the vines and all the greenery in the hotel itself and the wedding gazebo over looking the ocean was perfect… exactly where I had pictured getting married. A beautiful resort and fantastic staff….. we couldn’t have asked for more.”

“My favorite tattoo and the one everyone asks me about is “Why not?” It is something I always say…. so why not tattoo it on your arm? Do I want to get married? Why not? Do I want to get married in Mexico? ….Why not?  LOL!”

“There really isn’t anything I won’t try – I’ve done bungee jumping, skydiving, scuba diving…. I love to try new things and sometimes I have to tell myself to have no fear.”

“Chase and I are not a traditional couple at all and we felt that many wedding traditions are just that….traditional and a bit old fashioned. I chose to have “bridesmen” as well as bridesmaids because choosing people to stand up with us was about who’s important in our lives, not their gender.”

“We appreciate each and every guest that came all the way to Mexico to celebrate our wedding day, just being there has special meaning for us.”

“We loved our first dance, the whole experience was one of the highlights for us for sure! Instead of choosing to write our own vows we made our first dance special. Defiantly more our style! We had fun coming up with crazy dance moves from the 80’s and 90’s, even throwing in a patty cake….. and perfecting the dance with many, many hours of practice. All worth it though, it turned out amazing!”

“It makes me laugh to think back to our wedding vows….we simply just said “I do”….simple, quick and to the point!”

“Another highlight of our wedding day was the unbelievable photographers we had, from the moment we met to the time we said goodbye. Valeria and the del Sol team were so professional, really listened to our ideas and we had such a great experience with them. We can’t wait to see the photos from the wedding…. like re-living the whole perfect day again.”

“The advice I could give to anyone thinking of getting married in Mexico is just do it….Why not?”

A big thanks to Cheryl for sharing such awesome words with us!!!
