We are often caught up in the emotion of the wedding day but it’s not often that both our photographers tell us how choked up they were! So may sentiments flying around on Samantha and Rob’s wedding day but the overwhelming feeling was one of absolute LOVE. We asked Samantha to share some reflections about her day.
Del Sol: You were super emotional reading your vows.
“I was overcome with so many different emotions, as my vows were honest and came from the heart. Reading aloud my inner, most personal feelings really struck a cord—especially when I looked into my soon-to-be husband eyes and around to my family and friends, and I realized they were all in tears with me!”
“As for Rob, as he thought about his mother and her absence, he could only wish she were there with us to witness this precious moment in time. His vows reflected all of the wonderful memories we spent together and all the love he has for me.” – Samantha
Del Sol: What was the most amazing moment of your day?
“There’s no way I can name just one moment of my day that was amazing. Enjoying time with my girls, having my father walk me down the aisle, saying yes to my best friend and becoming Mrs. Rodriguez, and of course, celebrating with friends and family. It was all a dream come true and I’d do it again and again if I could! Rob agrees and says just a few amazing moments included seeing me for the first time, walking down the aisle as husband and wife, and celebrating the night away.”
Del Sol: We loved your “don’t forget” list that you left for Rob!
“We both agree that I just know Rob really well. I left him the note because I knew between celebrating with the guys, wedding jitters, and making sure they’re all on time, he was bound to forget something! (Ok, ok, and I guess I’m a tad bit organized too!! Hahah!)”
Del Sol: How was your experience with the del Sol team?
“We truly enjoyed having the del Sol team as our photographers. They were awesome—they took the shots they needed, they didn’t get in the way or become burdensome. They came up with some really cool shots from some of the pictures they showed us!!” – Samantha

“Paradisus was a top rated hotel, and the pictures and reviews really stood out from other hotels. I visited Paradisus prior to our wedding with my mother and sister to tour the hotel, venues, and do a tasting of the food and cake. I was sold. The grounds are beautiful, the staff is wonderful, accommodating, and professional. Paradisus’ food was exceptional, the room was spacious and clean, and the overall decor was modern and impressive. We especially loved our swim up and how all of the swim ups connect to the main pool. Staff at the pool was attentive and always on point with service! At the beach, Manuel was phonemonal! He was so friendly and wonderful!! Jaime and the Romance team were also amazing! We loved it all! Five stars to Paradisus Playa del Carmen!”
Del Sol: What’s your top destination wedding advice
“DO IT!! What better way to celebrate with family and friends but to have a week long celebration!! We all had so much fun! Pack those bags and enjoy paradise! Skip all that traditional stuff and do the stuff you want to do. We made sure to be on the dance floor ALL night long! Remember not to sweat the small stuff, it won’t even matter on the big day!” – Samantha
