This Puerto Morelos trash the dress shoot was an opportunity for us to get to know newlyweds Roseann and Shawn in an intimate and personal way. We had met the couple at their Moon Palace wedding, a day full of romance and fun and we were glad to have a chance to share an afternoon in Puerto Morelos with them. This small fishing village located between Cancun and Playa del Carmen is a charming place to enjoy the Mexican Caribbean away from the hustle bustle of the big cities.

We took Roseann and Shawn  to the famous lighthouse (bent but not broken by Hurricane Beaulah in 1967), considered to be a symbol of the perseverance of the local residents. The zocalo or town square is a place to slow down, enjoy the ocean breezes, and embrace the laid-back vibe of the town. Roseann and Shawn took a walk along the pier that is still used as the main port for fishermen in their small “panga” style boats, embracing and enjoying their newlywed status, still glowing from their wedding day. Not all “trash the dress” shoots involve getting wet or dirty, this was a session to capture the intimacy and love of the couple in a casual way, with the stress of the wedding day out of the way they let their hair down and their emotions shine through.

We thank Roseann and Shawn for inviting us to share in this Puerto Morelos trash the dress shoot and your wedding day, it was a pleasure to get to know you both and we wish you all the best!
