A vacation in Cancun turns into a lifetime of love for Ana and Ricardo! Latvian beauty Ana came to Cancun in 2009 for a vacation before starting law school. Fate brought her together with Ricardo, originally from Mexico City and the rest is history. They’ve traveled all over the world and now make their home in Los Angeles, but it was only fitting to return to the Riviera Maya to celebrate their marriage.

The day began with the “getting ready” at the Riu Palace Riviera Maya, we love this time as it allows us to get to know the couple and their guests. Bride Ana was so very pretty in her bridal gown by Oscar de la Renta and hair and makeup by The Styling Trio Riviera Maya and handsome groom Ricardo was totally chic in his Hugo Boss suit. The festivities continued on to the ceremony at Xcaret Park, the Chapel of Guadeloupe is one of the most unique venues in the area, a beautiful church with the altar in a sacred natural cenote, it is quite spectacular and an incredible location for photos! After the traditional Catholic ceremony and some portraits around the park, the newlyweds and their guests made their way to the Grand Coral Beach Club for the reception. Wedding coordinator Joyce Mnguni of Dream Weddings Riviera Maya ensured the whole day went smoothly, not an easy task with a large wedding and multiple locations! The reception was elegant and chic, delicious cuisine courtesy Chef Christian Morales, lots of bubbly and fun on the dance floor.

In the early planning stages we asked the couple why they chose Del Sol Photography, here is what they shared with us:

There are a lot of uncertainties with our wedding, except for one thing – Del Sol.  As soon as I saw your pictures on bestdestinationweddings.com, I was set on you. I hate posing for pictures and I love your photo-journalistic style. Also, all the images I saw were excellent, it is actually art and not the typical wedding photography.
