Those who really love, love in silence, with deeds and not with words – La Sombra del Viento, Carlos Ruiz Zafón

Nubia and George brought family and friends together in the beautiful, private beach of Soliman bay in the villa ‘Sombras del Viento’ – meaning ‘Shadows of the Wind’. The private villa and the idyllic surroundings were an amazing place for the families to meet for the first time.

“When we were looking for places to have our wedding, Cancun was a quick choice. However, I didn’t want to have the wedding at a resort, due to the fees for outside vendors, or for my actual guests. When we found Sombras del Viento, it was definitely a blessing. The immediate family had a week to relax, explore Soliman Bay and enjoy the beautiful beach. I highly recommend a private setting!! We celebrated all week!”

“Our wedding day was very special because our friends and families got to finally meet and share our special moments, this was the best gift we could have received” – Nubia

Nubia told us that they wanted to combine a mix of Mexican, Greek and American wedding traditions – we especially love the Greek wedding tradition that predicts the next lucky folks who will be walking down the aisle:

“The writing of names on the soles of the shoes comes from a fun Greek tradition. It is a way to determine who will get married next. The first name to rub off will be the next to get married. The bride’s brother, Jonathan and groom’s sister, Florence will be next in line.” – Nubia

Congratulations then to Nubia and George and in advance to Jonathan and to Florence – vamos chicos!!
