Xcaret and Now Sapphire Wedding

“We always wanted a destination wedding. We liked the idea of spending three days with our guests and enjoying more time together.” – Katerina

Xcaret and Now Sapphire 2 of our very favorite wedding locations. We were delighted to be a part of Katerina and Alex’s beautiful day. We asked Katerina to share her thoughts about the day!

Del Sol: You had a pretty big bridal party by anyone’s standards, 17 Bridesmaids and 11 Groomsmen!

Katerina: “Eight of my friends have been with me since grade school and our family and all have been always so close. I obviously met a few of my own friends along the ride of life. The five junior bridesmaids were my students from my dance school. The ring boy and flower girl were family. Alex had mostly family be his groomsmen- brothers, cousins, etc. Two or three were friends he has had for many years.”

Del Sol: Did someone say something that really stood out on your day?

Katerina: “My maid of honor wrote exceptional words that touched our hearts very much.”

Del Sol: How did you choose the decoration for your wedding?

Katerina: “I always wanted a rustic look. Pinterest pictures and ideas helped me put it together.”

Del Sol: What was the most amazing moment of your day?

“The most amazing moment of the day was celebrating with our friends and family. We enjoy the party scene very much.” -Katerina

Del Sol: How was your experience with the Del Sol team?

“Wow. Can’t even express how happy I am that I went with my gut and used Del Sol for my pictures.” – Katerina

The Photographers were just amazing and passionate about their work it radiated through them. We felt so comfortable and they really went the extra mile to capture every important moment. I would recommend to anyone I know thinking of attending Mexico for a wedding or any event.”

Del Sol: Why did you choose Now Sapphire and Xcaret?

Katerina: “We chose Now Sapphire due to a recommendation of our coordinator in Miami Elsa Duarte. We chose Xcaret because of a recommendation from someone who had previously attended a wedding in Mexico and said It was such a beautiful setting for a wedding.”

“I loved the scenery and architecture of Xcaret – it was so different from what we have here in Miami.” – Katerina

“We initially wanted the Capilla in the cave but it was booked for the day of our wedding and they gave us the recommendation of St. Francisco de Asís. Based on the pictures we liked it as well. My wedding coordinators Andrea and Cristal were absolutely so helpful. They helped me feel so comfortable with all the preparations that I wasn’t able to control in any way.”

Del Sol: What’s your top destination wedding advice?

Katerina: “Send pictures to your vendors. Be clear on details from lights to color of flowers- etc. There is no way to travel light! Make sure all bags are under the weight limit and pack as many as needed.”
