Del Sol: Alayna included some touching details to honor family members who could not be with her and John on their wedding day.
“The charms were my father and grandfather. I lost my father at a young age and my grandfather I lost a little over a year ago. I thought it was important to have a little piece of them with me on our wedding day.” – Alayna
Alayna and John chose the beautiful beach of the Now Sapphire Resort in Puerto Morelos for their ceremony. A spot of rain moved the reception celebrations inside but certainly didn’t dampen the party!
“We researched for months trying to find the perfect location. We wanted something a little secluded but not far from the airport. We picked Now Sapphire strictly based on Trip Advisor reviews. The major selling point was how close it is to the airport. We had 60 guest travel for our wedding and some only flew in for a short time. We wanted to make sure our guest enjoyed their vacation on the resort and not a 2 hour cab or bus ride. The service was amazing and the food was very good. Dylan from the entertainment department made our wedding trip very special. John and I still talk to our guest about how amazing he was.”
“One thing I wish was I didn’t stress before the actual wedding about the planning. The setting is so beautiful you do not need to worry about the little details because nobody is paying attention. I honestly could have planned the entire thing when I got down there in a day! It was very easy… Expect things to happen but roll with it because our wedding was a dream come true.”- Alayna
