“the best days of my life were the the day I said I love you, the days our children were born, and the day I knew I was going to marry you” – Nick’s Vows
Lots of family love in this beach club wedding. Pamella and Nick’s little boys were adorable ring bearers and with many of Pamella’s family members traveling from Brazil the day was a gorgeous family reunion and celebration.
“We chose the Riviera Maya for our destination wedding because we loved the beautiful beaches, and the variety of restaurants, shopping, and nightlife for our guests. The area also had a great reputation for outdoor adventures like scuba diving and exploring the Mayan ruins. This was the 1st time coming to Mexico for many of Pamella’s family from Brazil and they had an excellent time and were a big fans of the local cuisine.”
“We split up the trip with many of our family members and friends staying in the same all-inclusive resort so that we could all enjoy each other’s company as we relaxed for the early part of the vacation. The wedding party switched over to private villas a day a couple days prior to the wedding.”
“We wanted to add more of our personal touch to the wedding, and get to choose which vendors we wanted to use, as well create a more intimate setting that you usually sacrifice with events in big resort.”
“We felt that this would make more sense since we were planning to have our wedding at Blue Venado Beach Club. Many hotels have strict regulations on which vendors they will permit you to bring on their premises, in addition to charging a fee for using outside vendors. I can understand why some people prefer not to have to think too much about the details of whom they would like to be involved in their special day, but it was a big deal to us, and we were extremely happy that we chose to do things the way we did.”
“Going the private venue route was great. It’s a bit more work than the all-inclusive route (you have to source your own vendors, coordinating transportation and addresses can be tricky). Overall you get a much more personalized experience that will stick with you for the rest of your life.”
“Pamella put together a beautiful table with our Wedding Coordinator, Sofia, of all our relatives whom had passed away that couldn’t make it. On the table there was a note written in English and Portuguese that said, “If heaven wasn’t so far away, I know you’d be here today.” Very touching for each of us, and many of our family members.”
“Seeing each other as Pamella and her father were walking down the aisle with sun going down behind her was pretty amazing. Definitely a moment that both of us will remember forever. It was also pretty special to read our personal vows in front of our family and friends.”
“Have fun. The day comes and goes super fast. Don’t get so caught up in the build up because the day of you don’t even notice the little details. The most important thing is having a good time with each other and the people you love.”
“Sol, Alex and the del Sol team were all outstanding. They made sure we got all the shots we wanted and provided great recommendations for other ones, very professional. We would highly recommend them to anyone who asks ☺”
A big thanks to Nick for his wonderful words!
