The Beach Palace Resort in Cancun played host to the wedding of Canadians Amanda and Don on a beautiful Mexican Caribbean day in May. The couple are true Mexico lovers, spending a few weeks every year on Isla Mujeres so a destination wedding in Cancun was a perfect fit and a great way to bring together their closest family and friends. The Sky Terrace at the Beach Palace is a gorgeous venue for a wedding ceremony, the views are simply unbelievable, the Caribbean Sea to the east and the Nichupte lagoon to the west and a sky full of fluffy white clouds. The ceremony was full of laughs, so much love and light from the newlyweds and their guests! After some fun and frolic taking portraits on the beach, the celebrations continued with the reception on the South Sky Terrace. Wedding coordinator Mario Yam of the Palace Resorts ensured the couple had the wedding of their dreams, beautiful decor, delicious food, lots of drinks, brightly colored flowers from Maya Floral and a piñata for that true Mexican flair. Photographer Sol Tamargo was there to capture the love and shared her thoughts:
Loved their deep connection, fun extroverted people and so in love. The whole day was energetic and non-stop smiles. Amanda’s getting ready was great, mom and friends all laughing and sharing a tear or two. And keeping with the same energy, Don’s tearing up moment when he saw Amanda walking down the aisle was touching. The connection they share is one of a kind. I was very, very happy to be there witnessing that kind of love and fun spirit coming from the couple and family and friends. As beach lovers they choose a great spot, I made sure they had lots of fun beach portraits . Their high energy added to mine made for great coverage. –Sol
