When we picture a destination wedding we often think about the beach. There are however some beautiful churches and chapels in the Riviera Maya for couples who want a traditional, religious wedding ceremony.
“Morgan was raised Catholic and she always pictured getting married in a church. We also liked the more secluded area for the wedding instead of being in a public place like the beach. It made the wedding much more intimate.” – Aaron
Iberostar Paraiso Lindo is home to Nuestra Señora del Paraíso, “Our Lady of the Paradise” Chapel. The private church is perfect for couples who want a Catholic mass for their wedding ceremony.
“We liked that they had other options besides the beach, mainly the church cathedral. We liked that it was a large resort that gave our guests many options for dining and activities. We also like the Mayan style and decor as well as the huge pool and lazy river.
“It was one of the best times of our lives! We are very happy we decided to have our wedding in Mexico at the Iberostar Paraiso Lindo. All of our guests agreed it was one of the best times they’ve ever had. The resort was absolutely beautiful.” – Morgan + Aaron
Our fave moment of this wedding for sure was Aaron sweeping Morgan off her feet as they exited the chapel – way to make an exit!! Morgan told us Aaron picked her during the wedding rehearsal as a joke and everyone loved it – so they did it in the ceremony as well!
“I wasn’t sure if I was going to do it or not but as we were walking down the aisle I just decided to go ahead and pick her up!” – Aaron
