Elegant and Black Tie Weddings at Nizuc
It’s no coincidence that most of our Nizuc wedding archive feature tuxedos. Nizuc is an ideal venue for Black Tie weddings. Not only does the stylish contemporary architectures and design ooze elegance – it’s practical too. The high ceilinged indoor areas with their huge windows (basically glass walls in some cases) mean that there are plenty of air-conditioned options that still benefit from the stunning scenery. The A-Kan Terrace has the magical combo of high heel friendly floors and an ocean view.

Nizuc Resort Cancun Beach Weddings
The Nizuc Beach is one of the best in Cancun and indeed the Mexican. A wide, white sandy point gives the mind boggling opportunity to see the sun set over the water, despite being on the East coast. Nizuc is one of the only resorts that can offer a “true” sunset on the mainland. The generous beach can host BIG weddings – easily accommodating up to 250 guests for a ceremony or banquet and has space for a whopping 350 for cocktail hour.
Nizuc A-Kan Terrace Weddings
The Nizuc A-Kan terrace is an extremely popular and adaptable wedding venue. Weddings ceremonies can have the ocean as a background. They can also be held under the large stone “arch” and have the garden as a background for the ceremony. The A-Kan is also a great spot for cocktail hours and receptions, and is just steps away from delicious air-conditioning.
La Punta Grill Terrace and Lower Deck Weddings
La Punta is a little away from the main buildings of the resort, and has a distinctly private and relaxed vibe. The thatched palapa roof and wooden slatted doors have a more bohemian feel than the rest of the resort while the decorative pools make our photographers happy with epic reflections. La Punta deck and pool can accommodate groups up to 180 for a ceremony or banquet. Tatiana and Wayne had their ceremony, cocktail and reception in La Punta.
Nizuc Pier Weddings
The Nizuc pier is ultimate elopement ceremony location. Intimate wedding groups of up to 18 would also do well here. Surrounded on all sides by water, the wooden deck is romantic and as private as it gets. This dusk wedding on the pier is one of our faves. The pier is also available for cocktails for groups of up to 40, end even for banquets with up to 18 people.
Del Sol Travels Wedding Tip
Since SUNSET is a big deal at Nizuc, and most couples want to see the sun go down during their ceremony, we highly recommend scheduling a first look and portraits before you walk down the aisle. If you want bright blue ocean in your portraits you’ll need to do that before the sun goes down and there are a ton of amazing photo ops in Nizuc so a first look is a great idea for a dynamic wedding portfolio.
