We LOVE to travel and explore new places! Sol Tamargo is known for her work in the Mexican Caribbean – for Ashley and Ryson she was delighted to travel to be their Puerto Vallarta Wedding photographer!
Although the “main event”is always the wedding day, having the opportunity to do a pre-wedding photoshoot is a great way to get to know your photographer… have fun , connect and make ART … all at the same time! We asked Ashley and Ryson to tell us about their session with Sol.
Del Sol: Ashley, we LOVE that you and Ryson decided to include couple’s boudoir in your pre-wedding photo session!
“When we discovered that a couples boudoir session was a thing, we couldn’t resist the excuse to “turn-the-heat-up” in front of the camera before getting married.”
“A strong relationship is both about emotional and physical intimacy. With a couples boudoir session you get to be vulnerable together, and share is some very silly, raw and organic moments.” – Ashley
“The days, weeks and months leading up to your wedding can be stressful… A sexy photo session helps provide a much needed distraction from any pre-wedding anxiety and jitters. It’s the perfect excuse to connect on a deeper level with your partner, as well as create some spark and excitement before the big day!”
Del Sol: Those last moments before becoming husband and wife are magical – so much anticipation – it’s an intimate moment in your relationship yet somehow separate from the wedding itself. We think it’s great that you had a pre-wedding photo session to capture this special time.
“We highly recommend a photo session to any couples that wish to re-capture or grow their intimacy, or to try something different together.” – Ashley
“It’s not just for adventurous couples. It doesn’t even need to be before your wedding. If you’re already married, why not consider this for an anniversary, or as a fun add-on to a vow renewal trip? It really is the perfect excuse to be with your favorite human, with no obligation other than to share your love, feel sexy and let loose together.”
Del Sol: What did Ryson think?!
“As with most guys, I’m not someone that loves the idea of sitting around getting my photo taken.… but surprising I had a lot of fun and I’m glad we did it.” -Ryson
“Sol made us feel relaxed and comfortable — and any excuse to cozy up with my Ash is never a bad thing ;)”
Del Sol: You are a STUNNING woman, yet you told Sol you don’t find it especially easy to be photographed. There are MANY other women out there who feel the same. Do you have any top tips for how to relax in front of the camera?
“Some sparkling wine or a tequila shot before the shoot doesn’t hurt! lol…but seriously, to help feel comfortable during the shoot: first try to meet in person with your photographer before the shoot. Play a favorite music list to help get you in a romantic mood. Bring along several different layering clothing items that make you feel beautiful – this might be some lacy lingerie, a favorite camisole, silk robe, or your fiancé’s favorite old T-shirt. You want to make sure to bring items that make you feel comfortable and reflects your style.
“You might consider getting your hair and makeup professionally done as this can help create a more flawless look, and I’d also recommend getting a spray tan before!”
“Keep in mind that it’s 100% ok to be nervous. You’re likely to have some nerves of excitement during the shoot, especially at the beginning – I sure did.” – Ashely
“Once you receive the photos and look over them together, you will remember the awkward moments from the shoot and smile, knowing that you get to share a romantic secret together – you’ll have a private treasure trove of photos and memories you get to share forever.” -Ashley
Del Sol: Did you feel a difference on your wedding day after having already been photographed by Sol?
Ashley: “Yes, I definitely felt more comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera on my wedding day after doing the pre-wedding photo session with Sol. I’m usually awkward in front of the camera.”
“going through a more “vulnerable” shoot with Sol really helped calm any nerves that I would have had.” – Ashley
“I was left with only excitement to see Sol again on our wedding day in the role of Puerto Vallarta Wedding photographer!” -Ashley
