Principal photographer: Sol Tamargo
After their beautiful wedding on the beach of Le Reve, newlyweds Ying and Ning joined Sol Tamargo in a trash the dress adventure in the Riviera Maya. First stop was a Maya pueblito, the rustic buildings and casual local people combined with the couture formality of the bride and groom made for a beautiful contrast! The local people are always so fun and open to just about anything. A urban trash the dress session usually incorporates many people found on the shoot day, simply enjoying their day and more often than not, they invite us to their homes and speak about how amazing their humble life is.
The adventure continued on to the jungle and to a sacred cenote. The heat from the day and the walk through the jungle finishes with a fresh swim in the underworld of the ancient Mayans. The water is fresh, cool and welcoming. Underwater photography and the special connection to mother earth is a blessing and combining the shoot with the open hearts and love from the local people along with a cleansing from the aquifer of the cenotes, the rest is simply magic and the photos are a representation of an experience that Ying and Ning will remember and hopefully return to relive in their travels!
