Playa del Carmen Mayan Wedding at Grand Coral Beach Club – Erin and Connor

So many great, thoughtful details in Erin and Connor’s wedding. Erin wore her mother’s vintage wedding dress and Connor’s custom sandals stamped “Erin 4 Ever” in the sand! Erin had her getting ready in Casa Joya del Mar – Playacar. We were delighted to discover a painting by our friend, artist Peter Terrin a stunning work to incorporate into the photos.

Erin and Connor chose to have a “Mayan Ceremony” at the Grand Coral beach club, just outside Playa del Carmen. Mayan ceremonies incorporate natural elements and offerings: flower petals, cacao, honey and the call of the conch shell.

We love photographing Mayan ceremonies! So much color, light and real connection with the couple and their guests. The sunset cast a warm light and incredible flare on the ceremony. Gorgeous golden hour light for portraits.

The evening continued with a reception at the Grand Coral Beach Club. Erin and Connor’s first dance was super moving. They only had eyes for one another and it was truly a moment of palpable, real love!
