Riviera Maya Photography Beach Trash the Dress – Sandra and Dan
Principal photographer: Matt Adcock
Sandra and Dan wanted to commemorate their love (and killer good looks!) with a Trash the Dress session on Playa del Carmen’s infamous beaches.
Since this is where del Sol Photography calls home, we were happy to oblige. :)
We started in the ruins of Playacar Phase I. It’s a gated and private community just north of the ferry building to Cozumel. In history, Playa was the trading port with Cozumel and the first mainland connection to the rest of the Yucatan Peninsula. As such, there are relics all over of that by-gone era.
In Playacar Phase I, there are a handful of stone structures (replica, original – who really knows?) that are always a fun starting point for an adventure in town. Besides, they’re surrounded by a jungle of Ceibas that are hundreds of years old.
From there we headed to sunset beach (called so because it’s one of the few places in Playa that has a point that stretches out into the water to give you a perspective back on the mainland) for some super steamy sunset images. It was an absolute pleasure!
