Bride Trash the Dress Riviera Maya – Carla

This trash the dress shoot in the Riviera Maya was a day of fun for mermaid Carla and Del Sol photographer Polly. Carla is a local celebrity, friend of del Sol and a self-proclaimed “mompreneur”, always seeking new challenges and opportunities to promote the destination of Playa del Carmen, Mexico. She is the driving force behind one of the most active local communities on Facebook, her Soy Playense page shares the love of all things Playa. We thought a trash the dress shoot would be a great way to spend some time collaborating with a friend on our shared love of the cenotes of the Riviera Maya and the underwater life we all adore.

I had a great time with Carla in the cenote, she was an incredible mermaid, she nailed it right from the beginning! She was serene, graceful and sultry; her movements playing with the dress, hair and fabric created a dreamy and ultra glamorous look that I adore. Sol added her trademark red hot lipstick and a gorgeous turquoise necklace, the strong makeup and bright colors always look fantastic underwater. If you are going to do a trash the dress session don’t be afraid to wear bold colors, it can really add a magic touch! – Polly
