Vow Renewal at Paradisus La Esmeralda – Selina and Daniel
“Remember why you said yes when he first proposed, look back on those years and the simple times your have with your family, running late errands at night, working together on busy schedules, staying up with a sick child, making your daughter her favorite wings!
It’s in those moments that love really exists, keep it simple and sweet so you have time to reflect on this awesome life you’ve created with your partner for life!” – Selina
Weddings are about the bond between two people, along with their family and friends who join them on that day. After ten years and two kids, Selina and Daniel wanted a more intimate event to celebrate how their own family has grown. And they especially wanted their ten-year milestone to include their children as much as each other.
“We wanted them to remember and experience from an early age the connection and the love that we have for each other and know that they are a part of that love. We wanted them to hear our vows, see our happy tears and know that feeling.
They came from our bond and our dedication to each other from when we first met, to our wedding, to ten years and until forever.” – Selina
With Selina and Daniel making their children an integral part of the ceremony, daughter Sofia’s reading is one of the cutest we’ve ever heard at a wedding (though Selina told us that Daniel just having vows written was huge!) “He normally would NEVER do anything like that AND he surprised me with an anniversary ring so that was was a nice surprise”. Sofia also saved the day by scooping up extra sand from the beach for the sand ceremony when they ran out :)
“I can still picture seeing Sofia walk down the aisle as perfect as she was with the sparkle from her dress, slow and steady, just perfect. Holding my son’s hand between the trees as onlookers commented on how awesome it was he was walking me down.
He didn’t know how important and meaningful it was, that’s what made it even more special. It was just him holding his mommy’s hand, it wasn’t until everyone commented he got nervous, it was very sweet.” – Selina
With kids such an important part of their day, Selina let us know why Paradisus was a perfect choice: “we travel to Mexico every year and we discovered Paradisus last summer and just loved it! They’re service was wonderful and we had seen a wedding and were just inspired! Our kids loved the place and we especially love the Family Concierge, the focus on our family was the reason we decided to have our vow renewal here.”
