Cenote Trash the Dress Riviera Maya – Elsa and Arthur

This cenote trash the dress in the Rivera Maya was a contrast of formal elegance and the natural beauty of the jungle. Bride Elsa wore a chic strapless gown and some serious bling, her necklace and earrings were pure sparkle! With her hair and makeup by the talented Sara Tamargo and the flowing veil, she was the picture of elegance next to her handsome husband Arthur. The couple joined photographer Sol for a jungle and underwater adventure in a sacred cenote. The sunlight was streaming through the jungle canopy, a perfect day for a trash the dress photo shoot. Both Elsa and Arthur are certified divers so we were excited to get them underwater to discover their inner mermaids. Elsa had a wardrobe change midway through the session, donning a striking red gown that in many Eastern cultures symbolizes luck and good fortune in marriage. The color just POPPED underwater and the lacy fabric flowed, combined with the love and passion of the couple, this was a HOT shoot!

We asked the couple why they chose Del Sol Photography and here is what they shared with us:

Your pictures move us (especially the TTD sessions and the ones by the beach). Pictures, to us, is like art. It has to invoke feelings, even though the people in the pictures were not us. Your pictures capture a story but also a special moment in time. We’ve looked through many photographer’s portfolios, but your portfolio moves us the most.  The effortless look in underwater shots, creative lighting and poses, boudoir, intimacy.

Photographer Sol had a great day with the couple, she shared her thoughts with us:

I enjoyed Elsa’s sense of humor, they were easy going and lots of fun! It’s always incredible to put a red dress in the water, the color is amazing!

Photographer Sol was there to capture all the love, please be sure to see the whole slideshow! Del Sol Photography thanks Elsa and Arthur for joining us on this adventure and we wish you both many years of happiness together.

These are beautiful creative sharp images. The red dress works extremely well underwater.
