Georgian Terrace Atlanta Wedding – Jessica and Sebastian
Matt recently took a trip back to his hometown of Atlanta to photograph Jessica and Sebastian’s glamorous wedding. I am always honored to travel and cover weddings in some of the most historic ceremony locations. The Georgian Terrace Atlanta Wedding was a special event for me.
The traditional Catholic Armenian ceremony was held in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, a “French Romanesque” structure built in 1897 and recognized in the National Register of Historic Places for it’s artistically significant architecture. After the ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests took a streetcar ride to the reception at The Georgian Terrace Hotel, another historical building in the heart of Atlanta.
Constructed in 1910 in a Beaux-Arts style, the hotel has played host to some of the most famous names in history. Most notably it was the location for the “Gone With the Wind” Gala party in 1939.
Hanna Bradley of The Georgian Terrace Hotel worked hand in hand with event planners Kate and Campbell Weddings to ensure a grand and glorious wedding reception. Glowing chandeliers, floral centerpieces and a wonderfully detailed wedding cake set the scene for this beautiful event.
