He wanted to plan a Cenote Proposal Surprise Ceremony after googling “Creative ways to propose in Mexico” and he fell in love with the idea and concept of designing a special micro ceremony in a Mexican cenote.
Originally Matt wanted to propose on the top of Mount ST. Helens. The plans wouldn’t work out as some special permits and difficulties prevented him from getting the proper permission for him to climb to the top of the world for this surprise proposal idea. Instead, he decided that go to the Mayan underworld and embrace the magic of the cenotes as the perfect cathedral of love for his ideal location for the surprise proposal location for Lexi.
