The destination wedding of Lily and Mike was a dream come true for these young lovers from California. They had traveled together to Playa del Carmen in the past and were excited to share the destination with their family and friends as they tied the knot at the Hacienda Tres Rios. The Tres Rios resort is a really beautiful property, set on a large expanse of mangroves, jungle and cenotes, it is surrounded by nature and beauty in abundance. The architecture and decor of the resort is warm and inviting, creating a sense of peace amidst the flora and fauna. Lily was looking gorgeous with hair and makeup by The Styling Trio Riviera Maya, and she arrived to the beach ceremony floating along one of the rivers (“Tres Rios”, “Three Rivers”) in a canoe, a unique entrance that we just loved! This was a grand wedding, a large bridal party (which included the most adorable children) and over 100 guests offering their love and support to the newlyweds as they exchanged vows under a chupah bedecked in white roses. With a romantic dip, the groom kissed his bride and everyone toasted the newlyweds with champagne. After portraits on the beach with an amazing sunset, the festivities really began to rock under a tent on the beach. Wedding coordinator Dibón Carbajal of Alliance Events put together a beautiful day, flowers by Vanessa Jaimes, a lit dance floor and chandeliers in the tent to bring a little glam to the scene and the delicious cuisine that Tres Rios is known for. A good old fashioned “cake smash” and fire dancers and the party was a huge success!
