We always pay attention to the quotes and fun phrases we see at weddings. Vanessa and Casey chose a quote from “Songs from the Open Road” a poem celebrating love for the outdoors, a beautiful space where people can come together, gathering new meaningful experiences along the way. Not only does it sum up why they chose a destination wedding, it’s pretty much in a nutshell Vanessa and Casey’s “it’s about the journey” attitude, Vanessa even told us that the year leading up to their wedding was almost as special as the day itself, so enjoy that planning ladies and gents!

Top memorable moments of the day were Casey’s toast to Vanessa, topped of with a surprise firework finale and an emotional a first look: Casey admits he “lost it” when he saw Vanessa walking down the aisle.
The perfect outdoor space they chose was one of del Sol’s all time favorite venues, Nizuc Resort & Spa in Cancun. The open architecture, spectacular beaches, gardens and pools is an idyllic and luxurious setting for a wedding, although, funnily enough it was not Vanessa and Casey’s first choice!
We had another venue picked out in the Riviera Maya but when we took the trip from DC to Mexico for our planning visit, we thought it would be smart to find one more place to look at – just in case! We had booked Nizuc for our last night before flying home and when we walked in, it was like out of a magazine.
