Every single person we photograph is special to us and we consider all of them part of the Del Sol family. BUT – Cammy and Eric are an extra super special couple as we got to meet them during Eric’s amazing MERMAID proposal! We were so happy to also be part of their destination wedding at the Royalton Riviera Cancun.
Their day was all about celebrating family love. From their location, to decor, to dances, every part of the day paid tribute to the deep affection shared by their group.
“Eric’s family is from Mexico. Because of the difficult year we had last year with both Eric’s parents unexpected passing, we really wanted to pay tribute to them, their culture and help their love live on. Additionally, my parents NEVER go on vacation and I thought, ‘what a perfect place to help everyone’s soul come alive! ¡Viva México! – ¡Vivan los Martinez!” – Cammy
Del Sol: Eric, you really did a beautiful job making sure that your parent’s presence was felt on your day.
Eric: “Because my parents couldn’t be there in person, we wanted to help them be there in spirit. Cammy’s parents are my second parents now and if I couldn’t dance with my mom, I wanted to make it special and dance with her instead. I also wanted my daughter to share the moment with us so I danced with her as well.”
Del Sol: What was the most amazing moment of your day?
“Marrying my best friend. Not many people get to truly feel that they found their life partner, but we have. And we were able to spend our most wonderful day with our favorite people.” – Cammy
Del Sol: Your ceremony was awesome, super touching – we loved that Cammy’s pastor from when she was a little girl came with you guys!
“It was super sweet that our Pastor and his wife came to celebrate with us! They both made it so special and added a personal touch! Pastor shared with everyone how I told him that I’d go anywhere and do anything as long as it was with Eric. He’s my soulmate.”
Del Sol: We love kids at weddings and Breelyn was an absolute star of the day too :)
“Breelyn’s the best! We literally moved heaven and earth to get her there and we were so blessed that she was able to come. She made it so special for us and we were so grateful to be able to spend that magical time together as a family.”

“Royalton hit a 10 out of 10 on all aspects. Our most important checks on the list: Family, Friends and Fun. We wanted everyone, all ages to have the best time and have entertainment that met each of their desires. We found all of this and so much more at Royalton. The staff was incredible and catered to our every need. We cannot say enough on how special they made our wedding and entire experience. They payed attention to every detail that we requested. Special thanks to Abigail for calling all the shots on the final day and making sure everything came together perfectly!”
“Advice I would give to people considering going to stay at a resort in Mexico or get married there?? GO!! You will have the time of your life! Never once was safety an issue or concern and to be honest, many times I felt safer in Mexico than I do daily at home, (in the states). Go live your dreams and travel for love!!” – Cammy
