Jill and Tyler had a fun and family love filled wedding on the beach of Secrets Akumal. Their ceremony was blessed with perfect light and was set of by Tyler and his groomsmen’s unique wedding day outfits!

“Tyler wears cowboy boots and a hat every single day. He works on a ranch so we wanted to incorporate some of who he is as a person into our wedding theme. So all of the groomsmen were on board to do the same!” – Jill

The country styling didn’t stop with the boys’ hats but kept on trucking into the wedding reception on the Secrets Akumal Terrace.

Jill: “Tyler and I really only listen to country music! I’m from Oklahoma so that’s what I was raised on! Our first dance was Dustin Lynch’s ” Your Daddy’s Boots.””

“The song meant a lot to Tyler and myself. My dad wasn’t able to make it to the wedding and my step dad passed away last year, so the songs meaning was so touching and meaningful to both of us. We knew that was the one when we first heard it!”

“The dinner choice was a given! We are both huge meat eaters and love our bbq! We just thought that was the perfect meal for us and our families at the reception!”

Akumal Bay is a beautiful location. Half way between Playa del Carmen and Tulum the Secrets Akumal is brand new and beautiful. The amazing location was matched by all the love and happiness radiating from all the wedding guests.
