Family Legacy Portrait Session – Rosewood Mayakoba – Amy, Calvin and Jules
‘The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.’ – Mark Twain
It is said that the most important days of your life are your wedding day and the day your children are born. We are super privileged to be asked to document not only wedding days but the children that follow! We like to think about these meaningful moments as ‘family legacy’.
We first met Amy and Calvin when Matt and Sol photographed and indeed organized their incredible Mayan Cenote wedding and trash the dress 5 years ago. It’s amazing to see Amy and Calvin with their brand new baby Jules and we are honored that Jules had his first-ever swim caught on camera with us!

“We had our wedding organized by del Sol in 2010. Matt and Sol did a fantastic job capturing our amazing Mayan wedding. Then Jules joined our family in 2014. While we planned for his 1-year birthday celebration, we thought about del Sol. Calvin and I thought it would be meaningful to go back to Mexico and have pictures taken by del Sol again.
“We picked Rosewood Mayakoba and we were glad we did, the resort and the staff were phenomenal. Jules tried the swimming pool for the first time and he enjoyed very much!”
“On the day of the photoshoot, the weather wasn’t cooperating but we still managed to have fun and Sol was successful at documenting one of the happiest moments in our lives. We will come back for another photoshoot of a family portrait in a few years for sure.” – Amy
