Grand Palladium Riviera Maya Church Wedding – Leanna and Brennan
“To Brennan and I family is the most important thing! Without our families love and support… I don’t know where we’d be! Being able to have our closest friends and family make the trip from the US to come out to Mexico to celebrate the best day of our lives… it was something that i’m so grateful for… it’ll be memories that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. When we got back home we were able to talk to those who attended our wedding… and it was wonderful to hear that most people said our destination wedding was the most fun trip they had ever been on!!!”
Family love was the order of the day for Leanna and Brennan’s Riviera Maya Church Wedding. They chose the Nuestra Señora de Las Nieves Chapel of Grand Palladium for their wedding ceremony – though they were sure to make it to the beach for portrait time :) We asked Leanna to tell us more about the day.
“Brennan and I decided to have a destination wedding because we wanted our wedding to be more intimate (family & close friends only). We also kept in mind that we wanted it to be a vacation for our guests as well… something relaxing where they were able to enjoy themselves and celebrate our families coming together and becoming one.”
Del Sol: Most people choose a destination wedding to get married with an ocean background. You chose Riviera Maya Church Wedding!
I always wanted to get married in a tropical place on the beach… but as catholics we felt compelled to get married in a church setting even though we were having a destination wedding.
“Brennan and I had to compromise on this. At the end of the day I’m very happy that we decided to keep to traditional ways. Nuestra Señora de Las Nieves Chapel chapel was easily one of the most beautiful parts of the Grand Palladium.”
Del Sol: Did someone say or do something special?
“During our wedding reception my side of the family sang the song called “I love you truly” which brought me to tears. It was a song my great grandparents would sing and dance to together all the time to tell each other how much they loved one another. Having my family recreate that at my wedding was hands down one of the greatest parts of it. I had no idea they were going to do that… and hearing my grandparents, parents, aunt and uncle sing it… was absolutely amazing!”
Del Sol: How was your experience with the del Sol team?
“I loved you guys!!! I was blown away by how great you guys were! The one aspect of my wedding I fought hard for was having the BEST photographers and videographers to capture those moments during our wedding. And I am so happy that was you guys! Everyone was blown away by how amazing your work was! The trash the dress session was definitely one of my favorite parts of having a destination wedding. Incredible work coming from incredible artists!!! We had so much fun!”
Del Sol: Why did you choose Grand Palladium for your Riviera Maya Church Wedding?
“We actually picked the Grand Palladium due to the beauty of its chapel and amenities and its many 5 star reviews. We also wanted family members who were under 18 to be able to go to our wedding. To us the Grand Palladium was the best choice. We also liked that they had the new section (TRS which is adults only) there so we could slip away after our wedding and not have to travel so far for our honeymoon. TRS was breathtaking… I would go back in a heartbeat. It definitely lived up to its many 5 star reviews!”
Del Sol: How was your experience in Mexico – bearing in mind the current travel advisories against Mexico?
“We definitely had a few non-believers about Mexico not come to our wedding due to them being scared about their “safety” (lol). We did not experience a single moment where we felt unsafe at any point in our travels. Neither did any of our guests. I loved the Riviera Maya area of Mexico and would recommend it to anyone thinking of going! We had zero problems with the Grand Palladium & TRS. Loved every second and we all had an amazing trip! Again…. many of our guests said that was the BEST trip they had ever been on (Brennan & I agree!).” – Leanna
