Janira: “Once we all arrived we were blown away, the pictures do not do justice. It was very hard not to worry about things when planning from thousands of miles away. Del Sol: It’s amazing LOVE brought you here! Why did you Travel for Love for your Hotel Xcaret Mexico Chapel Wedding?

“Since our very first trip to Cancun and Playa del Carmen we fell in love with the beaches, ambiance, history and the friendly people. We always said that if we ever took that step forward that it would be in Playa del Carmen.”

Del Sol: Many people think about the BEACH when they get married in the Mexican Caribbean but of course there are other amazing venues – especially for Catholic weddings!

“We wanted a traditional Catholic ceremony and we knew the Riviera Maya has splendid chapels. However, none are as spectacular as Capilla De Todos Los Angeles in Hotel Xcaret Mexico.” – Janira

“Towering at the top of a pyramid with amazing views of the ocean and the serenity of the chapel, we just knew our ceremony had to be there. The chapel itself is very unique and inviting, the panoramic views gave the perfect setting for such an amazing day.

Del Sol: It’s a serious no-no to upstage the bride on the wedding day – however we’re not afraid to say that your son’s stole the show!! You kids were up there with you all through your wedding ceremony and cake cutting and certainly made their presence felt in the most adorable way :)

Janira: “It was very special to us to have our boys witness our union.  They clearly stole the show and they killed it on the dance floor!”

“To see our children’s curious and happy faces throughout the wedding day was the best feeling.” – Janira

Del Sol: What was the most amazing moment of your day?

Janira: “Our whole day was amazing however nothing compares to our ceremony. Seeing our boys, family and close friends witness our union was an incredible feeling. The beautiful setting and the amazing views made it very special.”

Del Sol: We believe that the experiences we have in our lifetime make us the people, couples and family we are. How did your destination wedding experience has added to your legacy as a couple and as a group?

“We are a Mexican American family and its important to us to make sure our children know their heritage.” – Janira

“This area of Mexico is rich in culture, it’s one of the reasons people visit to reconnect with the elements or to experience them for the first time. We wanted our family and friends to experience the area and take with them the best of memories. We all can’t wait to comeback”

Del Sol: Janira, you had an emotional and beautiful first dance with your brother.

“I lost my father a few years ago to illness and to not have him there on such a special day was very emotional for me. Since the start of the day, I kept thinking how much he would have loved to be there and celebrate with us. I’m so thankful that my brother was there to represent my father throughout the day.”

“During our dance my brother told me not to cry because our father was with us, and enjoying every minute.” – Janira

Del Sol: We’re IN LOVE with your wedding reception location – SO pretty!

“We decided on a beach reception because of the natural and stunning setting, it was like having our own private beach. Our guests loved the views and set up, we couldn’t have asked for a better location to dance the night away.”

Del Sol: How was your experience with the del Sol team?
