Cinque Terre Italian Engagement Portraits – Dome and Alby

One of the advantages of having an international team here at del Sol is that we get to know different parts of the word via our fellow photographers.  Cinque Terre – “The Five Lands” in the Ligura region of Italy.  Cinque Terre is a National Park and UNESCO World Heritage site: five villages (Corniglia, Manarola, Monterosso, Riomaggiore and Vernazza) are connected by paths, trains and boats and an amazing adventure to travel and explore.

The roads between the villages overlook the ocean, the most famous and romantic of which is the Via dell’Amore – “love walk”. As you walk the Via dell’Amore you come across parts of the railings covered in padlocks. Couples lock them on the fence and throw the keys into the ocean so their love can live forever!
