Brandi and Denton wore anchor bracelets as a nod to the proverb they try to live their lives by. Life’s challenges are indeed the things that help us learn and grow, so we should so embrace them! Easy to say, but in practice, for example: your wedding day when the sky is black and the rain is hammering down?

“The rain can be a little stressful. I was supposed to ride in a horse drawn carriage, but at the last minute had to change to the golf cart. My dad kept reassuring me it would turn out great, and all I could think about was not having an umbrella to walk up to the gazebo with. As we rounded the corner, I saw that Denton had brought his golf umbrella and given it to the coordinator for me. My Dad laughed and said “See this is why you are marrying him, he takes care of you!” – Brandi

Brandi and Denton’s wedding is full of awesome details. We especially appreciated the champagne toast included in their ceremony and have to say this is the first time we have been asked to photograph an asthma inhaler as a wedding reception detail!

“Denton and I wanted to add some details to show off our edgy and fun side, we both like to be a bit outside the norm. He got a custom linen tuxedo made for the wedding, we had a lot of fun picking that out with the skull lining. The champagne toast was a nod to our personalities. We tried to come up with something outside the box instead of the traditional unity candle or sand. Plus our guests like to drink, so it was perfect! 

 “His asthma is awful so the inhaler was a must! I like to say I take his breath away when he sees me, but really he just can’t breathe :)” – Brandi
