Now Jade Wedding – Amanda and Roy
“We both love to travel and got engaged during a destination wedding trip. We had such an amazing experience that we decided to have a destination wedding also!” – Amanda
Great energy and loads of family love at Amanda and Roy’s NOW Jade wedding. From sweeping dance floor moves to cute nerdy details there was loads to keep us busy! Most striking to us was the tender moments between Amanda and her mum, who walked her down the aisle and first danced with her. Though Amanda’s father and step-father are no longer with us Amanda carried tribute charms for them on her bouquet and their presence was definitely felt :)
“Amanda’s uncle Timber came up and told us that there were two eagles soaring over the ceremony. He suggested it may have been the spirits of her fathers’ past.”
Del Sol: We loved your wedding style, from the navy bridesmaids dresses to Millennium Falcon cufflinks, we loved it!
Amanda: “We went with the dark blue and gold with inspiration from “beauty and the Beast.” Roy and I both loved that movie as children. We also consider ourselves a bit nerdy so I tried to incorporate as much of that as possible.”
Del Sol: Why did you choose a NOW Jade Wedding?
“The NOW Larimar was where we got engaged. We love the NOWs but wanted a resort in Mexico because the food is the best! Our NOW Jade Wedding coordinator Emmanuel was AMAZING. He went above and beyond.” – Amanda
We are always honored to be a part of every wedding day. When we have professional photographers, like Amanda, choosing us, it really means the world! We asked Amanda, as a photographer herself to tell us about why she believes investing in wedding photography is important?
“After all of the prep, your wedding day goes by in a heartbeat. I know that photo and video is the only way to preserve the memories of the day. There are parts of the day both of us would have missed but we will get to experience through photo and video. I chose Del Sol Photography because I loved their composition and artistic nature.” – Amanda
Del Sol: Also how did it feel for YOU to be in FRONT of the camera!
Amanda: “I felt awkward ha ha”
Del Sol: What was the most amazing moment of your day?
Amanda: “All of it!”
Del Sol: How was your experience with the Del Sol Photography team?
Amanda: “They were very kind and efficient, their techniques were impressive.”
Del Sol: How was your experience in Mexico – bearing in mind the current travel advisories against Mexico? What advice did you give to guests who had doubts? What advice would you give to couples thinking about planning a wedding in Mexico?
“Bad things happen everywhere and the news is very controlled. Use your own smarts and research if you are worried. Mexico is a beautiful place with many, many beautiful, kind, welcoming, loving, happy people. We love Mexico!” – Amanda
