“I really didn’t know where to start when picking a resort, all I knew was that we wanted to be in the Riviera Maya. I googled “best wedding resort in riviera Maya” and Now Sapphire really stood out. The grounds were beautiful, it was centrally located between Playa Del Carmen and Cancun and the wedding reviews were great. The brides reviews said there was nothing to worry about because the resort was beautiful and the wedding planners are the greatest. With a 2 yer old and very busy schedules, we didn’t have too much time to worry about the small details. JJ is really the critic with everything we chose, from furniture to vehicles…. To wedding locations. I had sent him a link to the Now Sapphire and he barely asked any questions. That’s how I knew, it was the one.”

“Our wedding was perfect! I can’t find enough words to describe how amazing it was. The morning of our wedding day went by so slow, I just couldn’t wait to marry my best friend. Once we started getting ready, it seems like everything went by so fast. I wish our wedding day would of lasted longer. We had to stop and enjoy the little moments and try not to get too caught up in the excitement of the day.”
“The weather for the wedding was perfect. When it got dark, the sky opened up and displayed a beautiful full moon. It’s funny because we usually look at the full moon and cringe a little. Both being police officers, we know how the full moon has an effect on people’s behaviour. The full moon usually correlates with a very busy shift. Now we look at moon and have a whole new perspective. It really was one of the best highlights of the night…. along with the tequila bar of course. Our guests are still sending us messages thanking us and telling us how much fun they had.”
“JJ and my son are huge superhero fans. It was JJ’s idea to buy the groomsmen superhero boxers and I would be surprised if it was his idea to have them all pull their pants down. He always keeps me laughing.”
“Unfortunately not everyone enjoyed themselves to the fullest. Our son, Lawson got a throat infection and had a high fever. He really did not enjoy himself despite his excitement to fly in an airplane and visit Mexico. We took him to the doctor and the day of the wedding he was feeling much better, but the lack of sleep and excitement of the day got the best of him. Although we really wanted him to walk down the aisle by himself we were really just happy to have him on the mend. His tantrum was a true representation of our daily lives… It’s not a wedding without a meltdown. By the end of the night our son came around and really enjoyed playing around with the little girls. We are so grateful to JJ’s parents who were always there to help us out with Lawson, during the wedding and throughout the whole week.”

“My dad passed away just a few days before my high school graduation. He was such an amazing and loving dad. It may sound a little strange but I miss him more now than I ever did before. I’m at a point in my life where I just feel like I would really want my dad around. To walk me down the aisle, to meet my husband, to play with my son.”
“Our son loves to dance and I didn’t want to just have JJ dance with his mom and then feel sad that my dad wasn’t there to dance with me. That’s when the idea of dancing with my son came to me.”
“I’m so happy Lawson made it through to our mother and son dance. I chose the song “Simple man” because I always sing it to him at bedtime, it was such an amazing moment.”
“We really wanted to honor our loved ones that have past away. I am a true believer that loved ones never really go away, they watch over you and support you in times of need. We had a chair reserved for our loved ones. I chose red roses for my wedding day because they are my absolute favorite. My father always bought me red roses. Whether it was for Valentine’s Day, birthdays, special occasions or “just because”. Every time I see or smell red roses I think of my dad. Having red roses at our wedding made me feel like he was around me all the time. I know JJ’s grandfather, who our son is named after, and my grandfather were watching down on us too.”
“I got a beautiful locket from my cousin which had my fathers photograph on one side and a picture of red roses on the other side. It was the most thoughtful gesture. I wanted nothing more than to have my dad walk me down the aisle. I tear up at just the thought of it. I held the locket wrapped around my bouquet as I walked down the aisle and it made me feel like he was right there with me.”
“JJ has always been a huge support. He always knows exactly what to say to make me smile. He wrote me a note on our wedding day and part of it read ….. “When I tell you “I love you more”, I don’t say it out of habit, I say it to remind you that you are the best thing that ever happened to me….”. I never knew that men like JJ existed and I am so lucky I found him.”
“I absolutely love how our amazing photographers advised to just take a walk on the beach and relax during our bride and groom session. We almost forgot they were there. This is why we love Del Sol and knew they were right for us.”
“We had so many friends and family that could not make it to our wedding and we wanted to make sure that we chose a photographer that depicted our wedding in the most true way possible. This way we could relive and share our day with our family and friends upon our return. The photographers were absolutely amazing. They are two kick a** girls and they made our wedding so much fun. Although they were working and very professional, they were just one of the group and fit in so perfectly with the guests. We were both so sad to see them leave at the end of the night.
