Victoria’s entrance to her wedding was such a touching and authentic gesture of family love.
“Involving both my dad and stepdad was very important to me as they both contributed many things to me over the years.” – Victoria
“Both of them have been in my life since I can remember and both have shaped me to become the woman I am today. I couldn’t leave one out. I started down the aisle with my father, and we picked up my step father along the way. This was intentional and to give importance to my father first. We walked a good bit together alone — and then my stepfather joined in half way down the aisle, as he joined my life after my father.”
“Both men had to give me away to Derek for the same reason. Both dances was again for the same reason. I’m so glad I made this choice!” – Victoria
As all the emotion of the ceremony is going on, of course the kids are in the background messing around and balancing the ring cushion on their heads. As documentary photographers we live for contrasts like this! One of the best reasons to invite kids to your wedding for us is to have these awesome little personalities as a juxtaposition to the wedding day.
“Both my nephew the ring bearer and niece the flower girl are both characters! Hahaha, they bring a lot of life and energy to anything we do. They are silly and laughing and always make us laugh.”
Needless to say the kids were not the only ones to let loose and have fun – a destination wedding will do that for you ;)
“Jumping in the pool was a total spur of the moment idea. It was very hot that night and my husband and best man are very goofy and always trying to be fun and funny. They decided it would be fun to jump in the pool and have Sol capture that on camera.”
