Cancun Wedding – Riu Palace Peninsula – Jasmine and Herman
I’ll reach out my hand to you – I’ll have faith in all you do – Just call my name and I’ll be there
Family love was the order of the day at Jasmine and Hernan’s wedding as well as SMILES! We asked Jasmin and Herman to share their thoughts.
Del Sol: Jasmin you were so happy and smiley all day long – talk to us about being a super happy bride!
“I was marrying the man that I love. I also loved having all my family and friends in one place. Plus…..I always smile when I’m nervous!” – Jasmine
Del Sol: We loved how Jasmin ended up sharing her sister’s speech – since you always do everything together!
“We shared a womb together. We shared a room together. She is my best friend and my other half.”
Del Sol: Your first dance with your brother singing was also really special.
I thought my first dance with your brother singing might have been the highlight of the reception. How everyone in the room sang along and the fitting nature of those lyrics “I’ll Be There”. The moment was so magical and yet still so organic. It is certainly one that I will never forget.“
Del Sol: We love the symbols couples use to represent their relationship and we love that you had a piano as your cake topper…
Jasmine: “We met in the summer of 2008 at City College of San Francisco. We were both taking a piano class.”
“From then the “theme”, if you will, of our relationship has been 88 or 88 keys: Jasmine was born in 1988 and there are 88 keys on a piano.”
Del Sol: Why did you choose Riu Palace Peninsula?
Well first off the price point was right. The reviews didn’t scare us away either. We found the staff to be especially helpful and we even connected with a few on social media. The stand outs were Alex the door man, in reception Sara and Manuel, and in the food staff our favorite was Arsenio. Manuel went waaaaaay above and beyond the call of duty.
Del Sol: What’s your top destination wedding advice?
Be flexible as you will be thrown a few curveballs.
Del Sol: Why did you decide on a destination wedding?
“My family had never been on a vacation before and Cancun is so beautiful. That in mind, I thought it would be extra special to not only get married but to have them there and by my side in doing so.” – Jasmine
