The Riviera Maya wedding of Kayla and Ryan was simply picture perfect. This Canadian couple headed south to the Grand Sirenis Resort with their family and friends to celebrate their love and enjoy some time in paradise together. From the “getting ready” moments, it was clear that this was going to be a fantastic day, such a fun and dynamic group! Kayla was radiant in her Maggie Sottero gown and pretty jewels from Tacori and “Mr. Tall, Dark and Handsome” Ryan was looking good in his vest and hot blue tie.

Sirenis Resorts did a wonderful job creating a magical day, from the ceremony on the beach with beautiful bright flowers to the great cuisine, drinks and music of the reception in the Grand Sirenis Beach Palapa. It was a gorgeous day and a good time was definitely had by all.

Hello! I recently started following your work and I am so inspired by it! Every time I see one of your weddings I am just blown away! And every time I look at your pictures over and over again trying to figure out how the lighting in your photos (specifically ceremony photos) is so even!?It is like you are shooting under a big white tent, which clearly you are not. Even all the guest surrounding your couples are perfectly and evenly lit.

Hi Sarah, we actually use gigantic huge tents as modifiers to soften our lights :) JK. In this case, it was mostly overcast and somewhat partly cloudy. Thank you for commenting and for the kind words, we are humbled. Our light is all natural during the ceremony and usually, shooting a longer lens like an 85mm or 100mm tends to help us emphasize a correct exposure on our subjects and not worry about under exposing or over exposing unwanted parts of the frame… its all about framing and just knowing how to make natural light work for you. Good luck! – matt
