A bride brings her baby for a unique trash the dress

“It was my husband Carlos’ idea to do a double trash the dress.  I thought it was a great idea because my baby Julia and I both love photos! My friends and loved the idea too. “

“I love that Julia was the first baby to do a trash the dress!” – Maru.

We loved being part of this unique mother and baby trash the dress experience! Maru is our first bride who put her wedding dress back on and jumped into the water with her baby!

“The experience was incredible, the whole team is really nice. Sol has a super good vibe, lots of joy and passion. All this made us spend a very fun photo shoot!”

Maru, Carlos and Julia’s trash the dress is unique in many ways. For the first time we did BEACH underwater photography! Normally we take underwater photos in Mexico’s famous cenotes, the openings of the underground river system that is spread through the Yucatan. The beach where Sol took Maru, Carlos and Julia is a very special place because it is one of the very few places that we can see a cenote joining the ocean. Just a few feet from the Caribbean Ocean the fresh water river forms a unique lagoon, the perfect location for beach underwater photography.

“Playa del Carmen, with its paradisiacal places and the mystic cenotes, is our favorite place. We got engaged here and where we love to go out, relax and enjoy this incredible location. At that time we got married we did not get chance to do the session, 5 years ago … so it was great to finally do it!! ” – Maru.

“The truth is that since we got married we wanted to do a trash the dress with Sol because we love her work, it’s art.”

We asked Maru about her friends’ reaction when they heard she was going to do a trash the dress with Julia:

“My mom showed her friends the photo that Sol posted to Instagram, she was really surprised! She says I’m crazy but her friends thought it was beautiful – they’d never seen anything like that before!”

“Fue idea de Carlos, mi esposo, de hacer un Trash the Dress doble. Lo que me pareció padrísimo porque tanto a Julia – la bebé – como a mí, nos encantan las fotos. Les conté a mis amigas y también les encantó la idea, les pareció muy original.”

Nos encantó ser parte de esta experiencia única en la que Maru volvió a usar su vestido de boda. Es la primera pareja que años después de su boda hacen una sesión de TTD junto a Julia, su bebe.

“La experiencia fue increíble, todo el equipo es muy agradable. La vibra de Sol es súper buena, mucha alegría y pasión. Todo esto nos hizo pasar un photo shoot muy divertido..!!”

Esta vez propusimos una sesión de beach Trash The Dress muy diferente. La combinamos con underwater photography. Mexico es famoso por sus cenotes en la península de Yucatán. En la Riviera Maya tenemos esos lugares privilegiados. Excepcionalmente a muy pocos metros del mar se forman en la playa las impresionantes caletas naturales. En ellas el agua de mar se mezcla con el agua dulce de los cenotes.

Los genuinos reflejos que se conciben caracterizan la fotografía en cenotes. La visibilidad del agua es incomparable para componer fotos con una luz muy singular e irrepetible. Los rayos del sol penetran en estas pequeñas lagunas provocando imágenes inigualables en el mundo.

“Playa del Carmen, con sus paradisíacos lugares y los místicos cenotes, es nuestro lugar preferido. Nos comprometimos y es donde nos encanta ir a relajarnos. Pero en aquel momento simplemente no se dieron las cosas para hacer la sesión, hace ya 5 años…!!” – Maru.

“La verdad es que desde que nos casamos quisimos hacer el Trash the Dress con Sol. Nos encanta su trabajo, es arte.”

Vivir algo nuevo provoca un poco de ansiedad por ser desconocido. Siempre preguntamos que dijeron sus amigos al saber que hicieron una sesión fotografía subacuática.

“Mi mamá le mostró a sus amigas La foto que Sol subió a Instagram, se la chulearon mucho. Ella dice que estoy loca y a sus amigas les pareció súper lindo porque no habían visto algo así.”

“En fin, estoy emocionada por ver las fotos, gracias por todo Sol…!”- Maru.

Gracias Maru y Carlos por esta original sesión !! Fue un placer darle Julia sus primeros recuerdos  en Playa del Carmen donde nació esta historia de amor..!
