One of our favorite vendors is the amazing Marcos Cazaux, owner of the Candle Boutique in Playa del Carmen. Marcos creates incredible decorative wedding installations with his beautiful hand made candles. The candle boutique has many innovative and unique ideas for wedding decoration. Candle centerpieces, floating candles, cute bohemian hanging mason jar candle lights – they can even make you a candle filled “love boat”!

“My favorite part of the decor were all the candles! Marcos Cazaux, the owner of The Candle Boutique in Playa del Carmen, is a true artist and his candles are handmade!! My mom only met with him onsite one time before the wedding and that’s all it took! He just gets it!! He knew exactly what we wanted within minutes!! Candles illuminating the water lined our entire path from the gazebo to the North beach where our reception was held. String lighting with white Mexican banners draped above and candles filled the whole space. Candles are not just for night time! We love have collaborated with the Candle Boutique Weddings on several special cenote weddings and trash the dress sessions. Cenotes are sacred places and adding candlelight just makes them even more magical.

Marcus’ candle installation from Candle Boutique Weddings in the cenote turned the serene and smoky cavern into a truly magical venue for our wedding. Among the stalactites and stalagmites carved by the underground river were nestled, and floating, candles of varying sized and shapes. This produced such drama – turning nature’s own cathedral into a romantic and warmly lit cavern. The installation from Candle Boutique Weddings was such a gift and the lighting transformed an already magical moment into something otherworldly.
