Kristen and Cameron’s destination wedding ceremony took place on a beautiful sunny day at the Riu Palace Riviera Maya. They’d been worries about the weather, but the skies cleared just in time! We were happy to be asked to document Kristen and Cameron’s wedding. We shot the vow renewals for the bride’s parents and were thrilled to welcome them back to the Riviera Maya.
The ceremony began on the beach of the Riu Palace Riviera Maya under an arch covered in gorgeous, brightly colored flowers. Kristen was glowing in her Alfred Angelo gown and pretty crown and veil and her bouquet was out of this world. This was a family affair. It was a delight to have the young members of the family in the wedding party, super cute.
Kristen and Cameron included a “Unity Cross” in the ceremony. A unique alternative to the sand ceremony.
“We will be the first in our family to be using a Unity Cross instead of the Sand or Candle Ceremony. This is very important to us!” – Kristen
Wedding coordinator Maria Fernanda Rossano put together a wonderful day for the couple. The Riu Palace Riviera Maya is luxurious and elegant and all the details of the day from the decor to the food were exceptional.
“There was a tropical storm passing but the rain stopped so that Kristen and Cameron could celebrate their wedding day with beautiful sunshine on the beach. It was an intimate family wedding surrounded by love, some tears and big laughs. It was a very emotional ceremony, when the hugs started it was very touching to see the little bridesmaid bursting into tears of joy. I really enjoyed being part of this wedding, I loved the couple they were a pleasure to work with; Kristen and Cameron I wish you the very best in life!”
