Secrets Silversands Gazebo Wedding – Dana and Bradley
“The best advice when planning a wedding is to go with what your heart wants.” – Secrets Silversands Gazebo Wedding
“I was hesitant to have a destination wedding at first because I didn’t think many people would travel and also felt bad asking people to travel. Well was I surprised! We had 94 people travel for our love. It was great to spend not only our wedding day but a couple other days with our guests on a mini vacation. Having a destination wedding was the best decision we made. We had the best vacation of our lives with some of our closest friends and family. And we got married in the most romantic setting, with the blue sky and ocean as our backdrop on the most perfect day ever! #travelforlove #destinationtodalton
“We didn’t just pick a resort from a magazine that our travel agent provided. A year before our wedding we made a trip out to Mexico to check out potential wedding venues for our special day. We looked at 6 resorts and absolutely fell in love with Secrets Silver sands.”
“What I really loved was the beautiful wedding gazebo, that overlooked the water. I knew it would be the perfect setting for our ceremony! We had a great wedding and experience at the resort and all our guest absolutely loved it! The staff was all wonderful and Lizette our wedding planner went out of her way to make sure it was absolutely perfect and that it was!!”
“We wanted to have a unique, romantic experience four our wedding. After looking at many venues, we decided Mexico And Secret Silversands would be the perfect place and setting for our wedding. It had all the elements we were looking for; beauty, romance and an overall great experience for our guests!!
“The most amazing moment for me, was walking down the aisle. I had my dad by my side, the first man in my life and that I loved. 94 of our closest friends and family lined the isle, to be a part of our special day. At the end I saw my best friend and the man I would get to spend the rest of my life with.”
Lots of beautiful details in Dana and Bradley’s wedding. We especially loved Bradley’s tribute cufflinks. A really beautiful idea to remember loved ones who are no longer with you on your wedding day.
“Brad’s dad passed away around 10years ago and his gramps around 2 years ago. They both meant a lot to him, so I wanted to him to have these important people with him on our special day.”
We have to give a special mention to one special guest… Roadie the dog!
“I’m not really sure how the Roadie the dog tradition started. Roadie belongings to my Auntie Kiki (Mary Mack). I’m not sure which wedding was his first adventure that he attended, but he has been to many weddings over the years.”
“Roadie the Dog has traveled to many places, states and countries, wearing his tux for the special location. Even after the wedding is over he changes into casual wear (in our case his swimsuit) and hangs out with the guests for post wedding fun!”
We love pure silly FUN on the wedding day! Dana and her dad brought it in their father daughter dance!
The dance between my dad and I had been an ongoing joke for years with my dad. It started at my cousin Melissa’s wedding. My dad danced to the song Baby Got Back by sir mix a lot and at every wedding! After that when it was played people asked him to dance. His answer was always the same ” I’m saving this dance for Dana’s wedding.” So it was only right to make it happen and that’s what we did!”
