In 2019 Dreams Sapphire added 2 new wedding venues (indoor and outdoor) and a wedding chapel. The resort also has a brand-new water park with 3 slides for adults and kids, and an additional brand-new gym with an air-conditioned yoga room. The renovations see the addition of spacious Master Suites and a new room category: Beach Front Swim Out Suites with beach and oceanfront views. As a bonus, pools are heated seasonally!

For families, the great news is the addition of Family Suites, with connecting rooms accommodating up to 6 people. There are 27 pairs of Deluxe Junior Suite Tropical view connecting rooms and 5 pairs of Preferred Club Junior Suite Oceanfront view connecting rooms. All have the same configuration: one room with a king-size bed and the second room with two double beds.

Dreams Sapphire also offers free Wifi and international calling to the US, Canada and local landlines with Unlimited Connectivity. Their mobile app lets you see all events, activities and amenities as well as activities outside the resort. And if you want to bring your fur-baby, small dogs are now welcome at Now Sapphire.

Dreams Sapphire Wedding Venues

Dreams Sapphire weddings it all! The resort has an onsite wedding chapel, 3 beach toes in sand wedding venues, 2 beach terrace venues, 2 gazebos, and an indoor beach wedding venue!

The best way to understand the Dreams Sapphire wedding venues is to imagine the resort as a long strip bordering the beach with the lobby/entry at the north of the resort. Since there is a fair distance from one end of the resort to the other, Dreams Sapphire’s ceremony and reception locations mostly work in pairs depending on their proximity. The most popular configuration is the beach for the ceremony and a terrace-type location for the reception. All of the terraces can ALSO be used for ceremonies for brides who want an ocean view but don’t want to touch the sand.

Dreams Sapphire wedding locations are such that both intimate parties or large groups look right at home. The huge plus of Dreams Sapphire is that generally the ceremony location and outside reception location are literally next to each other. Photography and schedule-wise this is a huge advantage. The cocktail hour is right next to the spot for portraits so no need to miss out.

Tequila Terrace + Tequila Beach

Tequila Wedding Archive

At the north of Dreams Sapphire is the Tequila terrace, and in front, the Tequila Beach. Walking to the ceremony spot you cross the terrace and descend the wide wooden steps to the beach. The Tequila Terrace and Beach is the classic and, in our experience, most popular Dreams Sapphire wedding venue. It’s super practical as ceremony, reception and cocktail hour are all held in the same location. It’s self-contained and surprisingly private. The wooden deck is attractive and the location is in front of a restaurant that offers shelter and all the facilities you may need steps away. For brides who don’t want to touch the sand wedding ceremonies on the Tequila Terrace itself are a great option too!

Dreams Sapphire South Wedding Venues

The Vista Del Mar Wedding Venues were added during the 2019 renovations of Dreams Sapphire. Set at the extreme south of the resort the location is secluded and the views are stunning. There are 3 locations: The Vista del Mar Pergola, the Vista del Mar Terrace, and an indoor wedding venue with ocean views. Vista del Mar Wedding Venue

The star of the Dreams Sapphire Vista del Mar venue is the large wooden pergola with its wooden aisle and deck. There is room for 100 guests total, with up to 24 guests on the pergola deck. Directly behind the pergola is the Vista del Mar Terrace deck which can be used for wedding receptions. Take a few steps back and there is an indoor (rain backup) venue that still has those beautiful blue ocean views.

Dreams Sapphire Central Wedding Venues

In the center of the resort, there are several ceremony wedding locations that group together well. Moving from North to south along the beach you arrive first to the Beach Front and the Beach Terrace, which work well as a complimentary beach ceremony/reception pair. Moving away from the ocean is the Wedding gazebo and the pool Gazebo. Moving south is the Hidden Beach ceremony location, which is actually a secret fav of ours for the relative privacy and palmy backdrop. Away from the beach is the Wedding Chapel and a sneaky hidden reception venue that we love – the Preferred Pool.

The Beach Front, Hidden Beach, Wedding Gazebos, and Wedding Chapel would all work well paired with the Beach Terrace or the Preferred Pool as reception venues.

Beach Front + Beach Terrace

In the very heart of Dreams Sapphire is the Beach Front and The Beach Terrace. The Beach Front is separated from the Beach Terrace by a low wall which drops down onto the white sand. Both locations are available for ceremonies and have a maximum of 300 people.

The Beach Terrace is characterized by its paved patio floor (high heel friendly!) grass “palapa” umbrellas and of course that endless ocean background. Other than that it’s really a spacious blank canvas that you can decorate to your heart’s desire. The Terrace is in the heart of the resort next to some of our fave bridges for photos and portraits. This venue is popular for receptions, but the Beach Terrace wedding ceremonies are a great hard floor, ocean vew option, and can accomodate up to 300 people.

Dreams Sapphire Onsite Wedding Chapel

For Catholic and religious wedding ceremonies

We are so excited that Dreams Sapphire added an onsite Wedding Chapel in 2019. Many couples are looking for a resort with a chapel for a Catholic or religious wedding. Being able to keep everything all in the same location is pretty much priceless. The Dreams Sapphire Chapel is located near the beach, set back a little from one of the walkways through the resort. The structure itself is an open sided palapa, surrounded jungle palms. The chapel is easily accessible with 3 low wide steps. It can accommodate around 44 guests under the palapa and many more on the patio outside.

Hidden Beach Wedding Archive

The Dreams Sapphire Hidden Beach wedding ceremony venue is located in front of one of the passages between guest accommodations. It’s one of our fave bride entrances because of the long path and tall palm trees in the background. The beach is also relatively private, being set slightly away from the center of the resort. Come portrait time you can enjoy epic light and both ocean and garden background only steps away. This section of the beach is pretty endless, Dreams Sapphire say the Hidden Beach has a maximum of 500 people. Popular choices for wedding receptions following a Hidden Beach ceremony are the Preferred Pool or the Beach Terrace.

Dreams Sapphire Wedding Gazebo

The Wedding Gazebo is a great venue for elegant events where the couple is looking for true shade and high heel friendly solid floors. Guests are seated in an arched, covered area while the gazebo itself is surrounded by water a low wooden bridge away. The colonial-style arches, palapas and water all around give the Wedding Gazebo it’s unique style. The fountain in the courtyard behind is a interesting element in the background of ceremony entrances though the ocean is not really visible from the guest’s point of view. The Gazebo has a maximum of 70 people and works even if it rains!

Dreams Sapphire Pool Gazebo

The Pool Gazebo is, as the name suggests, in the middle of a pool! The narrow wooden bridge leading to the gazebo keeps this venue intimate, with a maximum of 15 people. The ceremony background is a mixture of blue pool, blue ocean and grass palapas giving a real Caribbean look.

Dreams Sapphire Preferred Pool

Preferred Pool Weddings

The Preferred Pool is normally an Adults only area of the resort. Straight away it feels calm, intimate and romantic, tucked away as it is in the jungle. No ocean views here but a romantic (and protected) enclosed garden feel with the pool adding the water feature. It’s also Del Sol Co-Founder Sol’s fave Dreams Sapphire reception location! The Bali Beds with their Palapa roofs and the pool itself are magical when lit up at night time – and if you’re guests are on the wild side they can always jump in the water at the end of the night! The Preferred Pool is often the reception venue for Hidden Beach Weddings.

“Our experience working with Ramon was fabulous. He turned our dreams into a reality. Going into we weren’t sure how it would turn out but we knew that Ramon worked on weddings all of the time, so we felt confident that he would do a great job.
