Hotel Xcaret Mexico Portrait Session
Andrea and Todd’s Hotel Xcaret Mexico portrait session precedes their wedding, which will take place later this year at Xcaret Park. Asking them why they chose Sol to document their wedding they told us: “We love Sol’s style with lighting and movement and we also love the positive energy of the whole company!”
Andrea and Todd told us about their love story, why they work together as a couple and what travel means to them.
“We’re both super passionate about traveling. We love seeing new places, experiencing new things, and getting the most out of life. We try to always look on the bright side of things or, as we like to say, “change the narrative” from negative to positive when things aren’t going our way.”
A Philosophy for Great Travel Experiences!
“Our first big trip together was a 2-week vacation to Italy. We visited Venice, Florence, and Rome. One day in Venice we booked a tour to see 3 islands nearby: Murano, Burano, and Torcello. As soon as we got on the boat, we were instantly put into a bad mood; there were no windows to see the beautiful views! When we got off at the first island, we followed the tour group inside a glass-blowing shop and watched a demonstration (which was wonderful) and then walked around the shop. But before we knew it we were called back to the boat to go to the next island. We were upset because we didn’t get time to explore the first island enough :( When we got to the second island, Burano, we were floored with the beauty around us.”
“Then and there we decided to ditch the tour and make our OWN tour for the rest of the day, not knowing when or how we would get back later on. We didn’t care. We were together and we were determined to enjoy the beautiful island.”
“The second we made that decision, the whole mood changed. We had a wonderful and relaxing day, exploring the spectacular bright colored houses and shops. That story is a great example of how we try to view and live life together.”
Andrea and Todd’s Love Story

“It is meant in the broadest sense because it encompasses how we complement each other on many different levels. My love for Andrea has so many different components beyond the physical attraction and personality match that at the very core of a relationship, we share.”
“Her hugs, her touch, her kisses. The love just jumps off of her body and she has this aura that instantly soothes and makes you feel loved. Her face, those eyes, her hair, her voice, she is my serenity: something I do not say lightly as I used to call my Nana my serenity – obviously on a different level – but she is, to me and so many. Andrea Makes me feel loved all the time and inspired and motivated. Just that person that makes me say: “Wow, I want to move mountains for her to see her happy because she makes me so happy.”
What is Love?
“Every prior relationship I’ve ever had, has taught me what love WASN’T. Meeting Todd, I learned exactly what love actually IS.” – Andrea
“Love is the opposite of what I’ve always been taught or thought it would be. So many people or cliches teach that love is difficult, you have to work at it constantly, nothing worth having comes easy, etc, etc. I have found that that couldn’t be less true.”
“Our love is easy; do we make sacrifices? Yes – but we want to BECAUSE we love each other. Do we have to compromise often? Yes – but we want to BECAUSE we love each other. All the so-called “work” doesn’t feel like work. It just feels like life. And Todd is my life.”
