Paradisus Beach Wedding – Casey and Zac
“It is SO important to sit back and take everything in. Enjoy every second and everyone who is there to celebrate with you.” – Casey + Zac
Casey and Zac told us they wanted a very intimate, romantic setting to celebrate the beginning of their life together. They decided on being with closest friends and family rather than a full on wedding back home. They chose the beach of Paradisus resort in Playa del Carmen for their wedding ceremony. Many couples choose the Gabi Bridge but Casey and Zac chose to have their feet in the sand. While we love Gabi Bridge, often the ceremony setup feels set away from the ocean and is surrounded by mangrove rather than sand and sky. The beach is PERFECT!
“When looking at resorts to have our wedding, I felt so overwhelmed by the many options that were in the Playa del Carmen area. After reading thousands of reviews and discussing with my travel agent, I ultimately felt that Paradisus was the place for us. There were such good reviews, not only from guests but from brides as well. Almost no-one had anything negative to say about the resort. We were so happy with our choice and were blown away by the amount of detail and thought they put into our wedding.”
“We chose the beach because we wanted to get the full experience of getting married at a resort in Mexico – salty air, wind blown hair, sandy toes and all!”
Before the wedding Casey told us about her and Zac’s long distance relationship success story!
“We met in college and have been inseparable ever since. Zac and I currently are living long distance, as our jobs are in different cities and don’t allow us to be together right now. We have been living in different cities for about 3 1/2 years now. Long distance was not the ideal situation for us, but we see each other as often as we can. I am hoping to be living under the same roof within the next few months, FINALLY!”
We had to know what Casey and Zac’s secret is to maintaining a (notoriously challenging) long distance love story!
“Our secret is communication. Even though we were long distance for so long, we always shared what was going on in our daily lives with each other through phone calls, face timing, pictures, videos, etc. We always made time to chat even after long days.”
“It was such a great feeling traveling to Mexico and knowing we wouldn’t be leaving each other when we returned home. We are so happy to finally be together again!”
Casey and Zac decided to do a “first look” in the Paradisus Gazebo before their wedding ceremony.
“I felt that the first time we see each other on our wedding day is such a personal moment, and it can better be shared between the two of us alone vs down the aisle. I think that it made the day go much smoother having the extra time for pictures.
“We couldn’t be happier with our decision to get married in Mexico. Our wedding was absolutely perfect, and it was everything we hoped it would be and more.”
“From the moment we set foot in the resort we were taken care of by the employees and wedding coordinators. I was pleasantly surprised that our photographers were there to meet with us during our final planning meeting at the resort, the day before the wedding. I felt like that showed they truly cared and wanted to make sure every detail was perfect.”
